I want to show my appreciation of the school’s work and commitment to the children’s educational experience.
Please let the staff, Headteacher or Governors know about your positive views and feelings. You can speak to them or write if you prefer. Don’t forget to share your knowledge of this great school with the community so we can go from strength to strength.

When do I pay for clubs?
The letters for clubs are sent out in the first week of the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms. All clubs are allocated on a first come first served basis. The club can be paid for in full on application or a £10 deposit must be brought in with the application form. The second £10 must be paid within three weeks.

How do I register for Henry’s Club?
Forms for Henry’s Club can be collected from either the front desk or the Children Centre office. The completed forms must be returned to the Children's Centre.

I don’t owe dinner money even though I have been told so?
If you feel that you do not owe any dinner money, please bring in your receipts and the error can be amended.

How do I pay for school dinners?
School dinners must be paid for in advance and can be paid for by cash or cheque at the front desk.

Where can I find a copy of the school’s newsletter?
Newsletters are distributed every fortnight. Copies are also kept in the display case at the front desk. They are also available on the school website www.henryfawcett.org.uk

How do I find out about events?
Please check the fortnightly newsletter, the website and we often text parents with upcoming events. Please make sure we have your current contact details.

What is the policy on lateness?
Being late for school makes it hard for your child to learn as they are missing out on important learning. They have missed a chance to settle in and they are embarrassed to disrupt the learning of their class mates. The school follows Lambeth policy which may result in legal action being taken against you and a fine of up to £2,500.

My child has lost part of their uniform.
Lost property can be found at the front desk. If the item is clearly named, it will be returned to the owner.

I how do I come in and help?
Great! Let the office know. They will inform the Deputy Headteacher and you will be invited in to complete a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) form. Once this has been returned you will be invited in at an appropriate time.
I can never speak to the head.
The headteacher is in the playground before and after school most days. Should you have a concern please remember to speak to your child’s class teacher first. If you are still concerned then ask to discuss it with your child’s Team Leader. On the rare occasion that the issue has not been resolved you will need to request an appointment with the headteacher through the front desk.

I want to take my child out of school during term time.
Taking your child out of school can have a negative impact on their education, achievement and relationship with their class mates. The school follows Lambeth policy and unauthorised absence can lead to legal action being taken against you and a fine of up to £2,500.

I have a concern.
Please follow the school’s complaints procedure and the concern will be swiftly dealt with. Always talk to us we want to help. Your first point of contact is always your child’s class teacher. If you are still concerned then ask to discuss it with your child’s Team Leader. On the rare occasion that the issue has not been resolved you will need to request an appointment with the headteacher through the front desk.
